RealTick Products: RealTick Scans

Traders and investors can use RealTick’s advanced technical scanning formulas to quickly find stocks that meet specific pre-defined criteria. Each scan is applied to a large population of stocks and returns a list of those stocks that meet the particular criteria associated with the formula. This formula is a calculation that uses a stock's price data (open, high, low, close) and volume data over a given period of time to compute a value. Each scan updates every minute or once per day depending on the underlying timeframe.

Click on a scan below to view its detailed description and strategy. In RealTick version 7.7 and above, you can access all current available scans. These scans are only available to current RealTick subscribers.

To access all scans in a RealTick MarketMinder:

  • Press F10 to open the Tree Navigator.
  • Choose Scanners to open the scan categories.
  • Select Technical Filters and expand the exchange directory: NASDAQ, NYSE, or Amex to view all scans for that exchange.
  • To view the symbols currently meeting scan criteria double-click a scan name or drag and drop the scan name into a MarketMinder.
