QUOTES SCREEN

Quick Quotes
To obtain a Quick Quote, enter the contract information into the Quick Quote text box and click the “Quick Quote” button. Retrieving quotes in this manner is identical to the way in which Quick Quotes are retrieved on the Order Entry screen.

Quote Page Order Entry
Create orders directly from the quote page. Simply double-click on any quote in the quote display. You will be prompted with a menu box that lets you create a buy order, sell order, or exit (don’t create an order). If you decide to create a buy or sell order, the Order Validation screen will be displayed with an order ticket for the commodity associated with the quote you double-clicked on the Quote screen.

The Order Validation screen will be automatically populated with commodity and contract information, default (pre-set) quantity, default (pre-set) order type and price (as indicated by the “last tick” column in the quote display grid). Remember that the default quantity and order type are specified on the Preference screen.

Note that for a market order or a market-on-close order, price information is not necessary and will not be included.
